Street art is a style that resonates with youth. 6th graders designed their own "tag," complete with a "boom" shape surrounding their names and additional elements to give their design some impact. We used contrasting colors, learned how to draw bubble and block letter shapes, and graffiti-style lettering, like "throw-up" and "wild-style." Individualism and style define street art, so the students were encouraged to make their tag as unique as possible.
